The Vascular Lab at North Shore Vascular (NSV)

Convenient testing for your vein or artery condition

The NSV Vascular Laboratory is a dedicated, non-invasive imaging service, conveniently located in our office. Utilizing ultrasonography, many vascular disease conditions can be identified without risk of discomfort to the patient and without the risk of radiation. Via Doppler and Duplex Screening or Diagnostic Venous Imaging, ultrasound images that show the blood flowing through blood vessels are captured in real-time.

Varicose vein conditions typically require a diagnostic ultrasound to identify saphenous vein reflux – and then a re-check after your vein treatment. Dr. Golan, unlike most practitioners, also performs tumescent and ultrasound guided sclerotherapy procedures.

Non-invasive studies are performed in the NSV Vascular Lab to detect the presence of vascular problems, determine severity, follow patients for disease progression, and assess the response to treatment and the durability of these treatments. All studies are interpreted by Dr. Golan, a board-certified vascular surgeon, and results are generally available the same day. An experienced vascular technologist performs all of the studies.

• Arterial Scans for PAD (Peripheral Arterial Disease) and Peripheral Aneurysms
