Led by John F. Golan, MD, Board Certified, Chicago Vascular Surgeon

Dr. Golan leads North Shore Vascular with the philosophy that every patient is unique and – and so are their vascular problems. He believes that it takes an ongoing commitment to excellence and a compassionate approach by skilled medical professionals to ensure you get the care you need and the results you want. When you walk in the door, you’ll meet the experienced professionals of the NSV team staff – carefully selected by Dr. Golan who has more than 25 years experience of treating vein and arterial conditions in hospital and office settings.

Rebecca A. Herlitz, ACNP-BC

is a certified nurse practitioner with 15 years experience. Over the past 10 years she has specialized in the care of patients with vascular disease. As a licensed nurse practitioner, Rebecca possesses the skills required to diagnose and treat patients under the supervision of Dr. Golan. She works closely with Dr. Golan in developing treatment plans tailored to each patient and performs the majority of sclerotherapy -- employing only FDA approved sclerosing solution.

Diane Warsawa, RDMS

is a vascular ultrasound technician with 15 years experience.  She brings an extensive knowledge base of diagnostic vascular imaging to NSV.  Diane’s excellent ultrasound skills guarantee quality vascular studies. Her proficiency, combined with her professional and caring manner, make her a key member of North Shore Vascular.

Gina Wisniewski, MLT-ACP

is an experienced medical assistant who is the liaison between the medical staff and NSV patients.  Gina’s expertise and knowledge of office-based procedures enables her to act as a friendly, effective patient educator and advocate as well as an efficient procedure schedule coordinator. She is also the designated Laser Safety Officer and an invaluable member North Shore Vascular.
