Depending on the severity of the varicose veins (and other factors), Dr. Golan determines the specific treatment for each patient. In some cases, Dr. Golan may advise “conservative management” which consists of wearing compression stockings, elevating the legs and taking oral anti-inflammatory medication. This therapy may reduce the symptom(s) of varicose veins, but it will not eliminate the underlying cause.
